I haven't seen you for a
while; nice of you to stop by. In case you've forgotten, this is what I
looked like when I was just a puppy -- 6 months old. . .

Now I've grown up a bit. I'm still the
"tough guy," but I've mellowed a lot.
"Older and wiser," one might say.

This picture
of me was taken last Christmas -- 2004 -- and I still hadn't figured things
out. We had a tree inside the
house and, well, it was a tree. . . What did they expect me to do?
This year I'm ready for all the food
and special puffy toy presents, and everything should go a lot better. |

But before getting started with our
family's Christmas pictures, here's a picture of some of my relatives. It
was taken just before Christmas, and it looks like they must have just
finished a hearty meal. The black pug in the front is my mother, Sophie.
Next to her, in the foreground, is Hannah. Just behind Sophie is Munki
(Sophie's daughter, and my half sister). The pug whose head is on Hannah is
Otis, Hannah's father. Seated in back is Lucy, who is Hannah's daughter and
Otis's granddaughter. Just look at them. . . Pugs certainly know how to have
fun, don't they!

Here it was
-- Christmas Eve -- and neither I nor my Aunt Pauli could figure out when
all the festivities were going to start.
We waited and waited and waited, and it
seemed like nobody wanted to start opening presents.
Why did they bother coming at all! |
| |
|
|
|
Finally, people began unwrapping the
presents -- and we started to have fun guessing what the next one would be.
Here's my human Mom trying to get hold of
an elusive ribbon -- I think so she can use it again next year!

Here I am in
the middle of some of the packaging debris. At times there appeared to be
more empty boxes and old wrapping paper than there were presents.
You can also see a few of the dolls
that my human mom is now collecting. I don't know why she needs dolls when
she has us: Pauli and Gus! |
| |
|
|
And, of course, at some point they had to dress me and my Aunt Pauli up in
seasonal garb.
As you can probably
tell, this was not the high point of our day. . .

One exciting thing that happened is that
we received a Christmas Card from the Hvidsten family, way up in Canada.
As you can see, their black Pug (also
named "Gus") rightfully took center stage.
