MY
BIRTH FAMILY
|
Here's an idea of where
I came from -- my roots before becoming part of the Datz family.
 |
|
|
|
 |
Of course, I do live with my Aunt Pauli, so there's still some real family
with me. She teaches me a lot of things, but sometimes gets a little angry
with me.
For instance, I'm a lot faster than she
is, so when we play-fight I'm able to run and hide. Then she starts barking
at me, which doesn't make my human parents too happy.
And my human dad says that those little
white whiskers on her chin just get whiter and whiter every day I'm here. |

|
|
Here I am with my brothers (Sumo, Spike and Pepper), having our first real
food. I don't know which one of us is "really getting into his food" there,
but we probably all got a turn. |
 |
| |
|
|
 |
And here's my mom, Sophie, taking care of the four of us. I'm happy here in
Fremont, but I sure do miss her, and hope I get a chance to visit her
sometime. |

The two pictures above are of my brother, Sumo. In the first picture he is
looking pug-sweet, while in the second he seems to be playing some kind of
"tough guy" role. The picture
on the left is of Sumo with his (and my) dad, Sammo. It looks like they're
getting along just fine.
(Just for the record, and in case you
were wondering: Pugs don't seem to show "smiley" faces too often.)
|
| |
|
|
And this is my brother, Spike, in a picture taken before he left for his new
home. He looks like a fine pug.
My human parents had a choice of taking either him or me, and chose me
because I was simply "just too cute" and paid a lot of attention to my human
mom. It was a hard choice, though.

I didn't have any pictures of my other
brother until just a little while ago. They say he really looks a lot like
me.
Originally his name was Pepper, but he
fell in with a bad crowd when he first moved to Alaska. When he was rescued,
he joined a new family, and they renamed him "Lucky" -- I guess because he
really earned it.
He's still in Alaska somewhere (which
seems kind of
"cold" to me), but it looks like they even have grass there!
I certainly do learn something new
everyday. . . |
|
 |
Finally, this is
Hannah. She's not really a relative, but she lives in the same house as my
mother. And she helped nurse me when I was a puppy.
On the left,
she's doing that "wr wr woo" talking thing (just like my Aunt Pauli), and on
the right, she's showing off a ribbon she won for "sled pulling" at a "Pug
Day" event a little while ago.
There's a
pug-smile! She sure looks proud! |

So
that's my life story. . . so far. I'm sure there will be plenty of stories
to follow.
In fact I'm looking forward to my first
motor home trip coming up this weekend. I'm sure my Aunt Pauli and I will
have a lot of fun, and I'll get to go on my first long walk on a leash.
That should be interesting.
