WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED IN FREMONT
| When I first arrived at the Datz household
in Fremont (during January, 2001), I was only nine weeks old -- very, very
small -- and just a little bit afraid of all these new human companions.

Though they seemed friendly enough,
sometimes I decided it was best to just hide under a table. |
| And I often became confused about
the intentions of these tall human creatures surrounding me. They seemed to
like me, but they didn't look like me.
But I knew I was really a big dog, and
could just scare them away, whenever I thought it was necessary. |
| Or I could just ignore them, and find a
place where I could play with one of my new toys. |
And when I got tired of that, I could
always go outside and put a leaf in my mouth. |
