A PUG'S CHRISTMAS

People say that Christmas is a fun time, but sometimes I'm just not too sure about this.

Here I am during the Christmas season in 2001 -- with my human dad. I know it looks like he's gently holding me in his arms, but he's really making sure that I don't get away, jump down on the floor and shake myself out of this silly red suit.

He says all pugs love getting dressed up.

I don't know anything about this tradition!

Christmas, 2002, wasn't any better. As you can see, I'm not too happy about putting on these ridiculous reindeer ears. Later on they dressed me up in a tuxedo for the celebration of the New Year (the picture is on my "Home Page), but they never were able to get me to wear the top hat.

This perfect pug face simply does not need any kind of head gear to make a statement.

Christmas Eve was the time for gift giving and present unwrapping. My human mom was given this very large rocking giraffe.

She somehow thought I would enjoy going for a ride on it. Wrong!

I can come up with my own "silly things to do," and I really don't need any help or encouragement.

One good thing that came out of wearing the Santa suit on my first Christmas was that my picture was featured on a beer label for the home brew my human dad made for gifts.

You have to admit that I do look kind of cute here -- as cute as a only a pug can be.
